Building a Culture of Caring
“My passion for hospitality was shaped early on, both through experience and observation.”
While working in Charleston, South Carolina, under renowned restaurateur Steve Palmer, I learned what true hospitality really means—creating genuine connections and memorable experiences for every guest.
Even in high school, I found myself sitting in hotel lobbies, watching guests come and go, studying how they interacted with staff and how small details shaped their experience.
That attention to detail continues to define my approach, rooted in thoughtfulness, respect, and a genuine care for others.
Bedrock Hospitality was founded out of a sheer love for our industry and the connections we make with our guests. The opportunity we have to engage with our guests and build something unique in each and every interaction is truly special.
This company was created over years of watching and learning from some of the best in hospitality. We are a group of lifelong industry professionals who came up in an era when food and beverage really took off—the cocktail revolution, the Food Network gastro boom, the explosion of wine knowledge, and the curation of thoughtful menus. As our coworkers began to carve out their paths in wine, food and beer, something pulled us in a different direction. We couldn’t stop thinking about the guests we serve and how we connect with them.
We love every aspect of this industry, but one thing rises above everything else for us: how we make people feel. We believe that knowledge is paramount, and knowing your product inside and out will solve almost any problem that arises on a daily basis. We are here to train and educate your staff on everything from food and beverage to service and hospitality—but we do all of this under the umbrella of how we make the guest feel and what building that connection truly means.
Our entire industry was built on the opportunity to please people, and we believe deeply in that opportunity. We continuously educate ourselves to make guests feel welcome and at home with us, and we want to be able to do that for you. Building a foundation of product and industry knowledge is essential, but we believe it works best when you understand why you are doing it and how you can use it to create lifelong relationships with your guests.
